Surrounded by breathtaking mountain and valley views outside of rustic main street Ramona, Black Canyon Estates is a unique enclave of semi-custom estate homes by KirE Builders Inc.
With natural escapes just out the back door, homeowners are cognizant of their impact on the local environment and try to minimize their carbon footprint in order to preserve the majesty of their surroundings.
The Manemann family is taking this green approach to the next level, thanks to available eco-friendly upgrades from KirE Builders.
KirE is an environmentally conscious builder, and each home at Black Canyon Estates comes standard with energy saving features, including a 3.0 kW solar system.
Bob and Sue Manemann, recent Black Canyon Estates homebuyers, decided to take this green-friendly approach to the next level.
“When discussing the various options available, we were interested in upgrading the solar,” said Bob Manemann. “Our thought process is that energy costs will continue to escalate, so a good way to mitigate that is with added solar capacity.”
So far, the expanded solar system has more than paid off.
“We are very pleased with the results in the short time that we have been in the house,” he said. “Most days, we generate as much or more electricity than we use. That’s a great feeling.”
Beyond the upgraded solar system, the Manemanns included electric appliances to take advantage of the beefed-up solar, including an electric dryer.
The Manemanns come to Black Canyon Estates after living in Scripps Ranch, which is a welcome change of pace that includes a more affordable home.
“We moved from Scripps Ranch in an effort to lower our monthly outlay,” said Bob Manemann. “We were successful in doing so and having a new home is a real bonus. This is the most rural area that we have lived in for sure. It is very quiet, and we like that there are no freeways nearby. The lots are big and spaced nicely.”
The Manemanns are also in awe of the natural surroundings on a daily basis.
“The view is awesome,” he said. “Many mornings, the valley below us fills with fog or low clouds and appears surrealistic as the mountain peaks rise above the cloud bank. Being able to view the mountains and valleys off Black Canyon Road is great.”
As to their experience working with KirE, Manemann and his wife are very pleased.
“It was a pleasure working with (President) Josh, (Vice President) Adam, (Sales Manager) Janean and the rest of the staff,” he said. “We were allowed to pick the lot that we liked and to modify the floor plan to meet our needs. They build quality houses, which drew our interest in the first place, and are eager to meet all of your expectations. I would recommend them to anyone.”
With current inventory moving rapidly and several reservations held on phases 3 and 4, prospective buyers should seize the opportunity before it disappears. Those who act quickly can reserve their preferred, oversized lot and even select the floor plan perfectly suited for their lifestyle.
In addition, homebuyers can have total control over their home with available interior modifications, upgrades and floor plan adjustments, depending on construction scheduling and floor plans.
With six exquisitely appointed floor plan options ranging from three to five bedrooms and 2,200 to 2,710 square feet, Black Canyon Estates offers semi-custom estate home living at a more affordable price than the surrounding communities of Poway and Scripps Ranch. Each home also comes standard with a 3.0kW solar system and integrated in-home pest defense system.
Located at 23041 Stokes Road in Ramona, homes at Black Canyon Estates start from the $500,000s.
